Vitec Ekonomi

Connect Exopen to Vitec Ekonomi to automatically pull accounting, customer and supplier data, and dimensions from one or more Vitec companies.

Prerequisites

Before you create the connection, get the following from Vitec:

  • Subdomain for your Vitec installation (e.g. companyname in the URL https://companyname.vitec.net).
  • API user with permission to read data from the companies you want to connect — username and password.
  • Integration ID for the Exopen integration, registered in Vitec Ekonomi. This ID controls which change events ("revisions") Vitec sends to Exopen.
Set up a partner subscription in Vitec

For Exopen to receive ongoing changes, your Vitec administrator must first register a partner integration for Exopen in Vitec Ekonomi and enable it for every company you want to connect. This is what produces the Integration ID you'll use below. Without it the initial import works, but new vouchers, customers and dimensions will not be updated in Exopen.

The paths above will be filled in with confirmed menu names from Vitec Ekonomi's administration UI.

Create a Vitec Ekonomi data source

  1. Sign in to the Exopen portal and select the correct company domain.
  2. Go to Data sources and click New data source.
  3. Pick Vitec Ekonomi from the list of integrations.
  4. Click New credential.
  5. Fill in Domain, Username, Password and Integration ID as in the table above.
  6. Once the fields are filled in, Exopen automatically fetches the list of companies the API user has access to.
  7. Tick the companies you want to connect. Use Select all to pick them all. Tick Show inactive to also see inactive companies.
  8. Click Create credential. The dialog closes automatically once every company is connected — this may take a while for many companies.

The companies now appear under Data sources and start syncing data straight away.

Add more companies later

You can add more companies to an existing credential:

  1. Go to Data sources and open the Vitec Ekonomi page.
  2. Click the edit icon on the credential card you want to update.
  3. Tick the additional companies — already-connected companies are pre-ticked and locked.
  4. Click Save changes.

You can't change the credential values (domain, username, password, Integration ID) in this view. To update any of them, delete the old credential and create a new one.

Connect multiple Vitec accounts

Got several separate Vitec installations, e.g. different subdomains, create one credential per Vitec account:

  1. Open Data sources → Vitec Ekonomi.
  2. Click New credential (shown as a plus-card once at least one credential exists).
  3. Repeat the flow in Create a Vitec Ekonomi data source with the new credentials.

Each credential has its own list of connected companies and appears as its own card.

Remove a connection

To delete a credential, remove all connected companies from the data sources page. Once all companies are removed, the credential is deleted automatically.

What gets synced

Exopen pulls the following from Vitec Ekonomi on an ongoing basis:

  • Chart of accounts, cost centres, projects, objects and other dimensions
  • Accounting years and periods
  • Vouchers (headers and rows)
  • Customers and accounts receivable
  • Suppliers and accounts payable
  • Company and reporting structure

Troubleshooting

"No companies found with these credentials"

Shown in the dialog when Vitec doesn't return any companies for the values you entered. Check that:

  • Domain is the subdomain only, without https:// and without .vitec.net (e.g. companyname).
  • Username and Password belong to an API user with access to the companies.
  • The API user isn't locked or expired.
  • Vitec Ekonomi is reachable (try signing in to Vitec directly).

New vouchers and changes don't appear in Exopen

Exopen pulls ongoing changes via Vitec's partner integration. Without an active subscription in Vitec, the initial import shows up but no new changes do. Ask your Vitec administrator to verify that:

  • The partner integration for Exopen is enabled in Vitec Ekonomi.
  • The Integration ID in Exopen matches the one registered in Vitec.
  • Every company that should sync is included in the partner integration.
