Aaro
Connect Exopen to Aaro — the group reporting and consolidation platform — to automatically fetch accounts and general ledger entries.
Aaro is not a self-service connection. When you select Aaro in the portal, you'll see a message asking you to contact support instead — our support team sets up the data source once you've sent us the information below.
What Exopen needs from you
Before we can create the connection we need:
- SQL interface name — the identifier for your Aaro instance (provided by Aaro/Exopen during setup).
- Username for Aaro's SQL interface.
- Password for the same user.
Exopen connects to Aaro's SQL interface through our enterprise data proxy. If anything needs to be enabled on the Aaro side — for example opening up SQL or ODBC access for your instance — Exopen's support team will walk you through those steps together with Aaro.
Getting started
Send the information above to support@exopen.se and tell us which Exopen account the connection should be set up on. Don't send the password in plain text over insecure channels — ask us for a secure upload link if you're unsure.
What happens next
Once support has received the details we set up the connection and start the first sync. The data source appears under Data sources in the portal and then keeps syncing automatically in the background — every night an incremental sync refreshes the three most recent periods. The initial run normally takes between thirty minutes and a couple of hours depending on the amount of data.
The connection fetches:
- Accounts from Aaro's code table
- General ledger entries per period from Aaro's transaction table (OPER)
Renewing credentials
If the username or password needs to be replaced — for example if the password has expired, been revoked or leaked — send the new credentials to support@exopen.se and we'll update the configuration. There is currently no way to renew credentials yourself from the portal.
