Data sources

Data sources are the integrations, connections to other systems, that you can create and manage via our portal. A data source is a specific connection to a selected system and additionally to a specific company within that system. For example, in your domain when you are logged in, you can have several data sources for Fortnox, one for each company you work with. You can also have connections where you upload SIE files, or fetch data from other systems from other or the same companies.

The data from all data sources is made available in your customer database, where you can retrieve it and use it in your applications and reports. You can easily explore your data by connecting to your customer database.

info

This is only a selection of our most common standard integrations. We also offer customized integrations.

Available Data

Different integrations offer different types of data. We usually talk in terms of two different types of data: Finance and Raw data.

ER models

Most of our integrations offer data exposed in a standardized, subject-specific format.

This means that regardless of which integration is used (e.g., SIE, Fortnox, Visma.net, Business Central), the data will be formatted and structured in the same way. This makes it possible to immediately start reporting with data from a wide range of systems.

For business systems, we call the model Finance.

info

We also have ready-made report packages built on both our own product Exopen Report and Power BI to get you up and running even faster.

Raw

In addition to standardized data, business systems often contain unique information that may not be available in all systems, or other data not included in Finance. Furthermore, we fetch data from other types of systems that do not contain financial data.

Therefore, we also offer data in a format that what we call Raw. Unlike Finance, these schemas are unique per system. Data from Raw can be consumed directly, or it may be used to enrich the Finance data where it overlaps.
