Your data and Exopen AI
Here's how Exopen AI handles your data, what's stored, and who can see what.
What's stored
- Conversations: every message you send and the AI's replies, including tables, charts, and attached files.
- Memory: what the AI has saved about your work patterns (see Memory).
- Settings: your preferences, consent, and display toggles.
- Feedback: thumbs up/down and any comments you've left.
Where the data lives
All data is stored in your company's environment. Conversations, memory, and settings are tied to your user account in your company domain.
Processing outside the EU
To generate answers, your messages and any attached files are sent to the AI model, which may run on servers outside the EU. The underlying storage (conversations, memory, settings) stays in your company's environment. These are the same terms you accept during onboarding the first time you open Exopen AI.
Tenant isolation
Your conversations, files, and memory are isolated to your company. Other Exopen customers see none of your data, and you see none of theirs.
Who sees what
- You: your own conversations, memory, and settings.
- Other users in your company: cannot see your conversations.
- Company admins: manage access but do not see individual conversations.
- The Exopen team: uses aggregated usage data and feedback to improve the product. Individual messages are not shared.
What the AI can't see
- HR data, payroll data, CRM data, external market data
- Any system outside your finance database
Attached files
Files you upload become part of the message they're sent with and are stored in the same isolated environment as the conversation. When you delete the conversation, the files go with it.
Delete and export
- Delete individual conversations from the sidebar.
- Delete individual memory items, or clear all memory, in the settings.
- For GDPR-related requests, contact your Exopen admin.
