Notifications

Some questions take the AI a moment to answer — complex analyses or large datasets can run for a minute or more. With notifications on, you don't have to wait on the chat. Switch tabs, check email, do something else — the browser pings you when the answer is ready.

Turn on

  1. Click Settings at the bottom of the chat sidebar.
  2. Turn on Desktop notifications.
  3. The browser asks for permission to show notifications — accept.

Notifications work in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop. On mobile, support depends on the device and browser.

How it works

When the AI finishes a response and your Exopen tab is not the active one, a notification appears titled Exopen AI responded with the first few lines of the answer. Click the notification to jump straight back to the conversation.

No notifications fire while you have the Exopen tab in focus — you don't need them then.

Turn off

Turn off Desktop notifications in the same setting, or block notifications for Exopen in your browser's permissions.

Troubleshooting

  • The toggle won't turn on — notifications are blocked in your browser. Allow notifications for Exopen in your browser's settings and try again.
  • No notifications even though they're on — check that the browser's system notifications are on in your operating system's settings. "Do not disturb" mode blocks them.
