System Database

The system database contains all the settings for the system, such as users, permissions, and reports. See below for instructions on how to connect to a system database.

Add a System Database

  • Enter Local Admin Mode by clicking on Admin -> Local Admin Mode, and then entering your Local Admin Mode password.
  • Open the settings for system databases: Admin -> ExoSystem Connections.
  • Add a new system database:
    • Click New and give the connection a name of your choice.
    • Enter your database connection string in the Connectionstring field. This is typically provided by your IT provider or by us if you are using Exopen Cloud.
    • Select the type of database. The most common option is MSSQL.
    • Save the connection by clicking Save.
    • You can also test the connection by clicking Test.
