Install Exopen Report

Here you will find instructions on how to install and get started with the Exopen Report client in Excel.

1. Download the Add-In

Make sure to choose the correct 32-bit package if you have 32-bit Excel and the 64-bit package if you have 64-bit Excel. Not sure which version you have? Click here for instructions on how to check your Excel version.

2. Install the Add-In

  • If Excel is running, start by closing Excel.

  • Double-click the file named ExopenReport.msi.

  • Accept the terms and click "Next" until the installation is complete.

3. Register License

  • Click the Register button.

  • Fill in the Code and Password, along with the license type and your email address.

  • Click the Register button to register the license.

The Code/Password and license type are provided internally by your system administrator.

4. Log in for the First Time in Local Admin Mode

Local Admin Mode is used to modify settings for your add-in installation locally on your computer.

  • Click the Admin button.

  • Click Local Admin Mode.

  • Set a password.

The only way to reset this password is to reset the entire add-in, so be sure to write it down.

5. Add System Connection

The system connection specifies the database system you want to log into.

  • Click the ExoSystemConnections button.

  • Click the New button.

  • Name the connection as you like.

  • Paste the connection string into the Connectionstring field.

  • Click Save.

You can test if the connection works by clicking the Test button.

The system connection is provided by your internal administrator.

6. Log In

  • Click the Login button.

  • Select the system connection you created and enter your username and password.
